About VishweshVishwesh Desai was born and raised in Ahmedabad, India, a hardcore Gujju who shares the infamous Gujarati sweet tooth.
An 18-year-old with a fierce passion for reading and writing, he was 13 when he began writing Shadows of the Northlands, his debut novel, and 14 when it was published. His second book Unrestrained Minors, an anthology of short stories written by children he has mentored over the last two years under his Project Bibliophilia, was published in June 2019. Vishwesh has been awarded with the 'Rana Kapoor Young Talent Award 2016' by Kumaon Literary Festival, Yes Bank and Yes Institute. He has been appointed as Ahmedabad Book Club's Youth Champion, a role that he takes seriously and tries to inspire young people to read and write more. Vishwesh has been invited to speak at several prestigious literature festivals all over the country. He serves on the committee that plans and executes the Children's Literature Festival at Gujarat Literature Festival every year. Vishwesh has taught numerous creative writing workshops for children and young adults at schools and other organizations. He has launched a state-wide creative writing contest in association with Ahmedabad Book Club. So far, he has set up two libraries at Make A Difference Foundation and Sauhard Foundation with the help of Project Bibliophilia's book collection drive. He is currently writing his third book and working on setting up India's first online writing center. Vishwesh lives with his family in Ahmedabad, India.
